Pack Creation
A pack is more than just a group of wolves all gathered together under the same name, each pack must have specific rules and characteristics that define who they are. The leader of the back decides exactly how the pack lives and breathes. If you are interested in becoming a pack leader, and there is a spot available, you must create a pack according to the way that you believe your character would run it. Create a set of rules and ideals based on the general character alignment of the pack (if confused about character alignment, click here.)and post them in the pack creation thread, along with the name of your character, the name of the pack, the names of five followers(wolves who have agreed to form a pack with your character, not your own characters), a list of ranks(ranks such as Alpha, Beta, Sigma, etc) and their specific descriptions, and the land that they will be claiming as their territory. If this land is already claimed, please note that the land will have to be fought for and the winner will be judged by an administrator.
Pack Claiming
If your wolf is age 3 or more and decides that he/she wants to claim an existing pack, they must challenge the existing leader for that role. That character must have 100 IC posts to be able to challenge a pack alpha. If the alpha does not respond to your challenge within two ooc weeks, your character will automatically win the challenge. If the alpha does respond in time, and defeats your character, your character will not be allowed to challenge another pack for at least one ooc month.
On the other hand, in the event that an alpha becomes inactive (this means that the alpha has not posted with their character in their own packlands for two weeks straight), then the position will go to the next highest ranking individual, depending on the rules of the pack. There will then be three days to claim the position of alpha. Whoever decides to claim the pack has two weeks to fight off any challengers for their position before they are given a months immunity.
Upon the claiming of any pack, whether it is by force or by default, the new leader must post any changes to their pack immediately in their pack's bio. This includes changes to rules, ranks, and lands.
