It had been a long trek across harsh lands, through trying climates and all manner of dangers. A trek made by only two wolves who were drawn forward to a better life for themselves and the family that they wished to build. This land had much to offer. It had more than any place they had passed through on their journey. It had the most beauty, the most variety, and the most potential of any he had seen. He was happy here. And with this thought in mind, Jude rose from his new den and stretched his limbs. Emerald eyes squinted as his ashy brown jowls opened into a yawn. Could this be the day? The tall man shook out his pelt and aimed his emeralds at the sleeping form of his mate. He smiled with love in his eyes and bent down to plant a kiss on her muzzle. "Good morning my love. The sun has risen and yet you have not, your dreams must have you running in circles." His voice trailed on the breeze with deep, soft tones. He would have a spotin his heart for her always. She was his world. With a calm sigh, he decided to try a different approach and softly pushed his nose into the sweet spot of fur behind her ear. "Time to wake, my dear Antiva. The prey is growing impatient." He spoke softly to her once more, traces of honey covering each calmly spoken word.

The damsel slumbered, thick muscled body coiling in on itself. Silvered eyes, hazed and glistening like a waning moon stared were hidden from view, blended perfectly with the rest of the onyx pelt. Her chest rose and fell with practiced ease, steady and powerful. Their past had left something still to be desired, packs were weak and torn asunder, lives were shattered and broken... when Jude had come to her in the hopes of leaving, of starting somewhere new, she had agreed to accompany him without hesitation. Not because she agreed, even if she had felt the move had been right, but rather because Jude was everything to her. There was no light in her life in a place where Jude did not exist. She would follow him anywhere.
Silvered eyes cracked open at the touch of a tongue against her snout followed swiftly by a nose into the soft fur directly behind her ear, a shiver shook her massive frame as she slowly lifted her skull. Her thick jaws spread in an exaggerated yawn as her mates gentle words caressed her ears. Her hind in rose into a stretch, claws extending to scrape across the stones as she rose to her full height. She pressed her nose into Jude's cheek, a soft, wet touch of her tongue against the course brown of his fur and her eyes slid shut once more. "It's only you I chase and I always awaken to find you waiting." Smooth and low, visages of sleep still clinging to her tones. "Are you happy here Jude?" Pack or no pack, wolves or no wolves, Antiva was contended only if he was. She needed no one else.

His mate awoke in a sweet and dreamy haze. His ways of waking her may differ day by day but the result remained the same. She always awoke with a warm glow and the bright light of love reflecting in her silver eyes. The day that she looked any differently would be a day that Jude would fail as her mate and leader. He could not allow that to happen. Antiva's happiness was everything to him.
And so Jude smiled at her response to his statement of her dreams. Weren't they always running in circles that led back to each other? It seemed that nothing could tear them apart. Not even the harsh mother nature could drive a wedge between them. He truly believed that it was the fate of the gods that Cairo sent him to bring in pack members on that day so long ago. It was fate that had them fighting a wild beast of a bear and fate that finally brought then together as lovers. They would never be alone as long as they had eachother.
With this in mind, Jude had no reason to be unhappy as long as she lived her life by his side. He nodded his brown cranium to his love and then explained, knowing that she would not be satisfied unless he vocalized his thoughts.
"Yes, my love. This land has everything that we need. It is rich with prey, water, and beauty. I find no reason that drives me away. Is it a place that you can see us beginning again my dear Antiva?" His emerald eyes aimed quizzicaly at his wife. Her opinion would ultimately drive him one way or the next. He refused to stay in a place where she wouldn't be happy.
